Regatta's Vaporspeed jacket comes in men's and women's versions and is pretty good value for money, as usual with Regatta gear.
It actually looks and feels a little more technical than many of the company's previous offerings, with a waterproof and breathable Isotex 10000 ripstop fabric, which has a DWR finish and taped seams and does a good job of keeping the moisture on the outside or transferring it there when you start to get too warm.
When you're not wearing it the Vaporspeed is certainly light and packable enough to go into your pack without you noticing either weight or bulk.
The range of features includes an inner storm flap with soft chin guard, a very effective 'grown on' hood with two-way adjustment and reinforced peak, articulated sleeves for enhanced range of movement, and adjustable cuffs and hem. All this is in line with the Vaporspeed's 'Endurance Fit' which is designed 'to follow the contours of your body while still allowing a full range of movement'.
In addition you get two zippered hand pockets, although these proved a minor let down in that they're not big enough for a standard OS map.
But other than that the Vaporspeed is a great value option with all the essential features you need in a lightweight waterproof jacket.
