Although at the high end of jersey price list, we very quickly come to love this warm top from Mavic. Through the cold and wet winter it is heavily used under a shell, providing warmth with its close fit and beautifully soft brushed Roubaix type fabric.
As the warmer weather eases in over Spring it begins to appear as an outer layer over a baselayer though, proving to be just wind resistant enough to keep the chilly headwinds at bay, but allowing more than enough throughput to ventilate and prevent sweat build up.
The close, stretchy fit is excellent, the back kept in place by strategically placed silicon gripper, and three pockets in traditional road format across the back are supportive enough to be useful, complemented by a small zipped phone pocket.
Being Mavic the quality is superb, and we will be wearing this for a long time to come.
