Made from lightweight 2.5 layer ripstop fabric with durable panels of 3 layer on high wear areas such as the saddle, inner thigh and knee, these are one very well thought out pair of waterproofs.
We really appreciate the ventilation zips down the side of each thigh, easy to open up if the weather abates slightly to let off some steam, and are pleased to see a pair of zipped hip pockets for small bits and pieces.
The cut is excellent, with a high waist band silicon grippered into place at the back and articulated knees making for an impressively unobtrusive ride. They are roomy, with space underneath for whatever leggings we choose, but never too flappy in the wind.
We do find the thin sections of face fabric transmitted the cold through quickly so make sure you wear some thermal leggings underneath, but once we learned that lesson there were a few long sleety days in the saddle we would have retreated back to the warmth of the cafe long before if we hadn't been wearing them. A cracking, very wearable, pair of pair of riding waterproofs.
