The Evolution range of baselayers are specifically aimed at the sportier end of the market with pursuits such as skiing, running, climbing and cycling in mind.

This means that they’re pretty damn technical – they come equipped with body mapping, ventilation zones and Odlo ”EFFECT” anti-odour technology.

The body mapping offers extra thermal protection to areas of the body that require it most including Quads, Gluteals and Calf muscles and the venting zones are strategically placed to offer ventilation in the areas that tend to run warmer.

The material is 60% Polyester, 34% Polyamide and 6% Elastene so no merino wool in sight here. Odour control is taken care of with Odlo ‘EFFECT’ anti odour technology which seems to work well enough, although probably not as well as the natural anti-odour properties of a merino baselayer.

The choice to run with a synthetic material mix means that the wicking properties are excellent so perfect for the aforementioned sports.

Fit is very close to your skin as you would expect from a sports orientated baselayer and the mapping and ventilation make you feel like a serious contender!

The overall feel of the Odlo Evolution is of a highly technical garment that you can rely on to help keep you warm and largely dry in colder conditions.
