The Belay Pro is an insulated jacket from Keela designed with climbing and in particular Belaying in mind.
Fill is 133g of Primaloft Gold which has been proven time and again to have an excellent warmth to weight ratio. The jacket immediately envelopes you in warmth, so much so that we haven’t been able to use it for long periods of time during the summer, as such we feel that the Belay Pro is probably more suited to use in colder months or colder climates.
The high fill weight contributes to a rather hefty overall weight of 666g so probably not one for those seeking ultra-lightweight gear.
As with most insulated jackets the outer is weather resistant - this particular example using Flylite Ripstop which is tough enough to withstand heavy and regular outdoor use. The outer material is effective in light drizzle and also provides a good barrier against wind.
Other notable features of the Belay Pro include adjustable cuffs, a drawcord hem and neck baffle - which can both be operated one-handed - a scooped back, chest pocket with concealed zip and two zipped hip pockets.
The belay Pro could prove to be a useful addition to your autumn/winter wardrobe considering that it can be picked up for as little as £65 online, representing excellent value for money when stacked up against the competition.
