On the face of it this could be just another jacket that fits into the rather large insulated jacket box so perhaps an unusual choice for cycling.
Actually we think it's a stroke of genius. In high-vis mode it acts as a great cold weather cycling jacket with its fill of Primaloft Silver insulation - just enough for a decent level of warmth for chilly morning and evening rides.
The insulation is highly compressible so packs down neatly into panniers and bike packs when not being worn.
The dropped tail and long arm length allow the FlipJak to genuinely be useful for casual cycling although if you like to go hard and fast then you're likely to opt for a lighter weight softshell or cycling jersey.
The genius of this jacket though is in its reversible nature. If you're off cycle touring or bike camping then it makes a brilliant evening thermal layer which also happens to look pretty good.
The two zipped handwarmer pockets and chest pocket are a useful size and the windproof and showerproof shell provides basic protection from the elements.
The price is pretty competitive too, at under £100 its great value for a good looking technical thermal layer, add to this its versatility and usefulness as a cold weather cycling jacket and you're on to a winner.
