Most of us walk up a mountain to get to the top, not for the experience of the descent. Snowdon Gliders’ Mountain Paragliding Centre has been running courses for all levels of competency for more than 15 years, and beginners can take a three-day Elementary Pilot course. Patience is crucial, as the sport is weather-dependent. The club can sometimes offer trial tandem flights.
Requirements: Minimum age 16 years. Minimum weight 55kg (8 stone); maximum weight 120kg (18 stone). Equipment provided.
