7-14 July
Retracing the escape route of British and Allied service men during the Second World War across the Pyrenees from France to Spain, this challenge is raising money for The British Legion. Covering 80km in four days and reaching an altitude of over 2,600m, you’ll cross snow and boulder fields with heavy backpacks in the heat of summer. Are you tough enough?

BHF 24 Peaks Challenge, Lake District, Scottish Highlands and Snowdonia

Taking place in three iconic British landscapes over one weekend, the BHF 24 Peaks Challenge demands just that – 24 summits in whichever of the three locations you choose. In the Lakes Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Great Gable are on the menu; Ben Lawers, and the Tarmachan Ridge in Scotland; and Carneddau, and Snowdon in Wales.

Action Medical Research Classic 3 Peaks Challenge

4-5 July, 2015
Take on the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in your own team of at least three climbers and one driver. In addition, you’ll have to take the charity’s mascot Paddington Bear up and down each mountain with you. Many teams aim to raise more money for the children’s medical research charity by completing the climb of Ben Nevis (1.344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m) in less than 24 hours.
Cost: £195 registration, plus minimum fundraising target of £2,000.

Macmillan Geneva to Nice Cycle Challenge

22-27 September, 2015
Catch some late summer sun and raise money to fight the Big C with this 550km, five-day mountainous road cycling challenge. You’ll ride from Lake Geneva, over mountain passes to France, past towering peaks, and through fragrant lavender fields, as you head for the glistening Mediterranean. The challenge ends with a descent down the spectacular Gorge du Loup after which you’ll finish on the beachfront of Nice on the famously glitzy French Riviera.

This 80km trek through South Africa’s Cederberg Wilderness Area will pitch you against the varied challenges of both desert and dense tropical bush. This vast expanse of colourful mountains, unbelievable rock formations and crystal clear streams and pools will astound you with its wild beauty. Then to top it off, you will return to Cape Town and climb the iconic Table Mountain, with the city spread out below and the Atlantic Ocean stretching to the horizon.
