"I couldn't quite believe I'd won this amazing trip of a lifetime,” said Armstrong. “My wife and I can’t wait to explore the wonders of the Canadian wilderness. We are big fans of Ray Mears and we love any type of outdoor adventure. This really is a dream come true and we are very grateful to Ontario Tourism."

Jonathan will take his wife, Joanne and the winning pair will embark on a seven-night adventure to Northern Ontario. They will travel north to Thunder Bay on the shores of Lake Superior and then on to Wabakimi Provincial Park for four nights of wilderness camping and survival in one of the world’s largest Boreal Forest reserves. With no roads in the park, the small group will travel by canoe and bush plane. During their trip the winners will learn the art of bushcraft survival skills lead by survival specialist and TV star Ray Mears.

The prize also includes a £500 voucher for Cotswold Outdoor and two x GPS devices provided by Garmin.

Ray Mears is working with Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership in the UK to highlight the many wilderness adventures across the Province of Ontario in Eastern Canada.
