The Salomon Sense Mantra is a trail running shoe designed specifically for fore- to mid-foot strikers, providing a natural motion, light weight and cushioning in a high-mileage training shoe.
The shoe’s patented EndoFit fitting system and single pull Quicklace lacing system proved remarkably comfy and supportive, and once in use there’s great cushioning and protection from the combination of a Profeel Film - a lightweight layer built into the top of the midsole to provide protection from the trail – and added cushioning in the outsole.
The Mantra is designed to help promote a more athletic, midfoot strike when running, with a lower heel drop and more flexibility, and although designed as trail running shoes they work perfectly well on the road.
We liked the light, summery colourways too, although it probably won't take long on the trail to put paid to that...
