I have quite wide feet and these were the most comfortable boots I tested on our recent lightweight boot test, and they also felt surprisingly light. What's not to like?
The wider toebox provides plenty of room for your forefoot in thick socks, there’s excellent arch and ankle support and these boots are just the job for anything other than demanding hikes or winter work; that said the Gore-tex GTX membrane will keep your feet dry and comfortable and I’d have no hesitation in using the Canyons for lower level winter hiking too.
The Vibram Ultragrip soles do just that and the boots can be resoled so you don’t have to chuck out the nubuck leather uppers when they’ve become moulded to your feet for ultimate comfort.
All in all, the Canyon is a really nice boot which will provide great comfort for anyone with wider feet – and there’s a regular model for ‘normal’ feet too.
