We’ve used untold different styles of camping chairs in our time and not one has been as well-designed as the Helinox Chair One.
Not only that, but the chair packs away to the size of a large loaf of bread, weighs only 850g (yet will take a load of up to 145 kg), is easily erected in seconds and looks damned cool too.
It’s little wonder that it’s won an IPSO and Red Dot Design Award.
The Chair One combines the DAC aluminium alloy technology that is applied to the most advanced tents and very clever design to deliver a comfortable and multi-purpose seat.
A tough, lightweight seat fabric with breathable mesh delivers a very comfortable sitting experience, while a zipped carrying case with grab handles and a daisy chain make the chair easy to store and transport.
You can throw it in your car, your rucksack or your beach bag and will hardly notice it’s there; and once you get to the beach or campsite the linked anodised aluminium poles of the frame flick together easily and the seat fabric is equally easily fitted on to them.
Rubber floor pads prevent the chair from slipping or sinking too far into soft sand, and the whole lot combines to provide a very comfortable sitting experience that simply cries out for an accompaniment of warm sunshine and cold beer.
