So far Sonder are better known for their adventure range of bikes, from full blown fat bikes through to drop bar gravel machines fully kitted to pedal out your front door and around the world.
That is set to change however, as they are now producing full suspension rigs for everyday riding in your local woods and this, their first foray into pure road cycling.
Of course they haven't dropped their passion for adventure, so this is a bike suitable for huge days in the saddle. Comfort is high on the agenda with a relatively relaxed seating position, compliant tubes for a modicum of flexing where appropriate and clearance for up to 28mm tyres.
The frame and fork are carbon of course, with the fork being tapered for that little bit more rigidity and accuracy when steering. Our top of the line choice comes sporting an intelligently specced SRAM Force 22 with hydraulic brakes and 2x11 gearing, in fact everything you will need for taking on some serious mountains.
The frame can be had on its own for £999 if you have a donor bike for parts, and a SRAM Rival option opens the fully built options at a very reasonable £1649. If you are in the market for a comfortable, light and capable road bike, specced to head for some big days out, this is your boy- and as with all Alpkit/Sonder products the price is definitely right for the top quality delivered.
