Coming in off the scale in terms of cost, the 5010 is nonetheless a bike you will get a lot of fun and use from if you are serious about your offroad riding and can part with the cash.
With 27.5 inch wheels, 130mm of rear travel and a full carbon frame this bike is one of the best all-round mountain bikes you can get. We have been riding one for several months now and can testify it is as keen to climb hills as it is to tackle steep and technical descents. A low bottom bracket, slack 67 degree head angle and long top tube make it just fly on descents, generating confidence by the bucket load.
This is the price for the top-range CC carbon frame with a Shimano XT build, but don't forget you can throttle back to the standard C frame which is built to a slightly lower spec and hangs some cheaper components for a big price drop to £3099. Just as capable, just as much fun and well worth consideration.
