Thule are renowned for the quality of their products and the Round Trip Traveller is no exception.
This lightweight bike case is sufficiently padded to more than adequately protect your road or mountain bike, with two separate, external zippered bike pockets that will take wheels up to 29" in size.
The main section of the case has a fixed fork block to keep your bike stable (as well as protecting against damage to the forks), and there's also good protection for the chainset.
You need to remove your saddle and stem/handlebars to fit your bike in the case (as is the case with virtually all bike cases) but there are plenty of Velcro straps to fasten these down, and there are also a number of straps to keep the bike frame securely in place.
There are also several internal and external pockets for additional gear storage, and with careful packing you can easily get everything for your cycling holiday into the Roundtrip Traveller.
Once packed and zipped up you'll find multiple external handles along with a pair of funky little wheels to assist with moving the whole shebang around, and it really is very easy to manoeuvre.
Your bike is worth protecting no matter how much it costs as there's nothing worse than going on a cycling holiday to find your bike has arrived damaged, so whilst not cheap the Thule Roundtrip Traveller makes a very good investment.
