First impressions of Thule's Small Adventure Pannier are that it is easily tough and well-designed enough for any size of adventure - big or small.
No doubt the moniker is due to its diminutive capacity, which at just 15.5 litres is certainly not huge.
But this size is actually a bonus in our opinion, as it is just right for a light commute, mounted on its own on one side of a rack such as the Pack n' Pedal Tour Rack which we tested it with on the front of our bike.
Then, come the weekend, double the capacity with a twin bag on the other side of the rack and you've just the right capacity for a light, fast tour.
Want to go further? Then get yourself another rack for the back of the bike and load that one up with another pair of panniers.
For commuting duties, you'll love the fact that the rack mounting hardware swivels away, leaving you with a tough, stylish courier-style shoulder bag to carry with the supplied strap.
The roll-top main closure will keep your gear dry, and a built-in external compression strap will keep your contents in place too.
Reflective detailing will increase visibility and the see-though side pockets will let extra rear lights shine through without being lost or sprayed with mud.
Included in the box are mounting clips for different diameter rack rails and a magnetic clip which will stop the bottom of the bag from swinging as you ride.
