Alf Alderson reviews the Pack Flat Carry On 21-litre Roller Travel Bag, which conveniently folds away flat when not in use.

Pack flat concept and build quality
Main zip was a little stiff at first

How often have you gone on holiday, arrived in your hotel, unpacked and then wondered where you’re gonna store your actual luggage? It’s one of those conundrums you never really think about until you’re faced with it, but the new range of Pack Flat luggage pretty much does away with this problem.

Essentially the bag's manufacturers Go Travel produce– as the name suggest - cases that compress quickly and easily by up to 75 per cent so they can be stored under a bed, on top  of a wardrobe or in other spare space.

Despite this they’re sturdily built,  and they look good too. We got hold of a 21-litre capacity ‘carry on’ which features a smooth-operating extendable aluminium handle and two padded grab handles on a rugged, good looking outer, along with two external zipped pockets and a generously sized main compartment plus three internal zipped pockets, so there’s plenty of space for organising your gear.

It has smooth running wheels and a sturdy base and overall build quality is excellent, hence the bag’s lifetime warranty.

We were quite surprised by both the good looks and build quality since you might expect a bag that will fold flat with ease to be quite flimsy, but it was nothing of the sort.

Indeed, the Pack Flat Carry On is well worth checking out for anyone who values efficient use of space.
