This handy little travel mate has 8 tools including spring action pliers, scissors, tweezers, nail file, carabiner, bottle opener and a flat head screwdriver. That lot gives you the basics for emergency repairs, grooming and the all-important beer bottle opening.

At 7.5cm long it's small by anyone's standards but size isn't everything, right? You might have also noticed that a knife blade is missing from the list of tools. Leatherman didn't just forget to put it there, it's a purposeful omission that'll help you get the Style PS through security at airports, making it the ideal companion for international travel. Being TSA approved doesn't guarantee safe transit of your everyday carry but it does make it one of the safest bets out there.

The small size translates into a weight of 45g so pretty much unnoticeable to all but the most weight obsessive adventurers. Everything is nicely designed and laid out with the scissors, nail file, tweezers and carabiner all available for use without opening the main body. The pliers are a bit unstable and can twist around in your hand due to the thin body but other than that everything works as it should and feels robust enough to last.

At £40 the Style PS is good value for money and has earnt a place in our kit list not just for international adventures but for domestic travels too.
